2025-2026 Volunteer Needs
Sunday Night Suppers will be providing in-person meals September 7, 2025 through May 17, 2026 at our NEW LOCATION: First United Methodist Church, 418 W. Touhy Ave. You will enter First UMC through the doors by their parking lot, located at 410 Grant Place, Park Ridge, IL.
Community volunteers are needed for:
Composting Station: Volunteers will be setting up the compost station, aiding guests with composting food waste, tearing down the compost station. Time frame: 3:45-5:15pm
Music/Entertainment: Individuals and groups are welcome to sing and/or play instruments to entertain guests during the meal. Microphone will be available, but please bring own instruments. Time frame: 3:45-4:45pm
General Help: SNS periodically receives grocery and food donations. Help is needed to organize and distribute those donations. On weeks when there are no food donations, volunteers will help with other tasks, including setting up tables and chairs. Time frame: 3:00-4:00 or 4:15pm
Volunteer opportunities are open to families, tweens and teens. Adults will be needed to help supervise children volunteers under the age of 12.
A team leader from Sunday Night Suppers will be there to guide you with what to do.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: You will be required to wash hands upon arrival. Gloves will be provided when handling food items. If you are ill, please stay home and volunteer a different week. DATES TO KEEP IN MIND: D64 and D207 have Spring Break 3/21-3/29, Easter is on 4/5/26.
